A desk displays a binder marked 'Immigration Law', highlighting the importance of legal frameworks In this article, you can discover…

  • How to apply for Biden’s 2024 Immigration Protections.
  • How long the application process will take.
  • What to do if your application is denied.

Where Can I Find The Application Forms For Biden’s Immigration Protections?

The application forms are currently not available yet. Once they do become available, they will be on the USCIS website along with instructions and filing fees.

What Information And Documentation Will Be Required For The Application?

You will need information and documentation helping prove that you have lived in the United States for at least 10 years prior to June 18, 2024.

This can include proof of your addresses and workplaces. Identifying documentation for yourself, such as a birth certificate and passport, will also be required. You will also need documentation of your legal marriage to a US citizen and proof of their citizenship.

How Long Does The Application Process Take?

The application process typically takes anywhere between six to nine months. The Biden Administration is dedicating considerable resources to the program, so we could potentially see faster processing times when the program becomes available.

What Fees, If Any, Are Associated With The Application?

Right now, because the program has not officially been made available, the exact fees are unknown. Similar programs in the past, however, have been between roughly $400 and $600 to apply for.

However, there are some already known fees that will also factor in. Filing for permanent residency costs about $2,700, so expect to pay this amount for your permanent resident application if approved for Biden’s Immigration Protections.

What Should I Do To Request For More Information And Help?

The best way to get help, information, and timely updates is to consult with an immigration attorney. You can get a detailed review of your case, have your questions answered, and stay up to date on changes to immigration law.

An attorney will also help you better understand the documents and qualifications needed to apply for these and other protections as the program is rolled out.

The USCIS website is another very helpful resource. You can visit to check for releases of forms and news related to protections and laws.

Can An Immigration Lawyer Help Me If My Application Is Denied?

Yes. Even if you’re not eligible for Biden’s “parole in place” program, there may be other permits and waivers that you qualify for and can apply for. A knowledgeable immigration lawyer can help you review your options and see which legal avenues are right for you.
